The more he saw the less he spoke

The less he spoke the more he heard.

Why can't we all be like that wise old bird?

I enjoy talking
&
I certainly do my share, 
but there are some people who can out talk me!!!
   

If someone rambles on and on without allowing me 
to respond to what they are sharing
or 
ask questions and such,
I soon loose total interest in listening.
   

I usually delight in listening
because it is difficult to get to know someone
if they tend to only listen and respond as needed
while I do all of the talking,
but there is a limit to my tolerance 
for one sided conversations 
regardless if I'm listening or talking.

For me, there needs to be a balance.
